Esoteric Astrology Course Curriculum:

In this course/group process on the "greatest of all the sciences"—astrology, we will be concentrating upon the following subjects which are all aspects of Esoteric Astrology:

1. Newly Devised Meditations on the Art and Science of Esoteric Astrology
2. Comprehensive Study of the Twelve Zodiacal Constellations—In Polarities
3. The Three Crosses (Mutable, Fixed and Cardinal) and their Relationship to the Paths of Aspiration, Discipleship and Initiation
4. The Planets, Rays, Chakras, Countries, Cities, Notes, Colors, Geometries, Mantra, Rituals, Laws and Principles Associated with these Constellations
5. The Science of Relationship—Cosmic; Systemic; Planetary; Soul; Personal
6. The Science of the Seven Rays
7. The Science of Esoteric Numerology
8. The Science of Destiny—Esoteric Methods of Progression and Direction
9. The Science of Triangles
10. The Science of Chart Rectification
11. The Art and Science of Esoteric Chart Interpretation
12. The Art and Science of Effective Living Using Applied Esoteric Astrology

The Astronomical perspective will be given for orientation within the greater whole, and for the understanding of phenomena. Many new factors involved in a greatly expanded astrology will also be approached. This will be done through the study of some of the more than 115 subtle and undiscovered planets in our solar system, and the use of subtle astrological charts. In relation to these will also be used the techniques of superimposition, applied to various kinds of external and internal charts.

This is the course in a nutshell. The fulfillment of this easily-stated curriculum will demand from us all we have of synthetic thought and understanding. What we are really attempting is an understanding of the great Science of Relations, which includes all the astrological factors, and the rayological factors, as well as the science of Esoteric Numerology—for the Numbers are the greatest and most archetypal of all the Beings.

What do we expect as requirements for prospective students in this course?

1. A keen desire to learn Esoteric Astrology, and serve humanity through its practice.
2. A sufficient background within the Ageless Wisdom.
3. Some familiarity with the books of the Tibetan Master, Djwhal Khul (through Alice A. Bailey), and a willingness to continue to study this Teaching. The major "Bailey Books" we will use are Esoteric Astrology and A Treatise on Cosmic Fire, but students who have computers (and I would hope that includes just about everybody) should avail themselves of the CD Rom of the Tibetan’s books; that way, the entire synthesis of the teaching is available at a key-stroke.
4. At least some familiarity with the basics of astrology are desirable, but students can acquire these quickly if they have the will to do so.
5. A willingness to enter a process of esoteric learning which engages the group mind and group soul.

From a pragmatic perspective each group member will need.

1. An Astrological Ephemeris, which you may purchase from us in class, if you do not already have one. The American Ephemeris for the 21^st Century is strongly recommended.
2. "Solar Fire" software for your computer. The Solar Fire astrology program is simply superb. It is the most advanced, esoterically comprehensive astrology program in the world. Graham Dawson, its author and developer, is an esoteric astrologer, and is very responsive to the special astrological needs of esoteric astrologers. He has created a program which is, in our opinion, indispensable for the student of this subject. We strongly recommend that you acquire a copy of this program. 3. Of course, you will need copies of the books Esoteric Astrology, and A Treatise on Cosmic Fire. We do, however, recommend that all group members acquire the Alice Bailey CD Rom, as many of the Tibetan’s priceless astrological observations are scattered throughout his books, and are necessary to the comprehensive study of the subject.

You will notice that we have included a COURSE APPLICATION with this letter of invitation. As we study esoteric astrology together, all of us, necessarily, will be entering deeply into the study of esoteric psychology. We want to arrive at a profound understanding of the human being in general, of our ourselves and each other, in particular. The APPLICATION (which is not long, compared to the usual University of the Seven Rays course application!) will help you address yourselves to some considerations, which are important to anyone preparing to enroll in such a course.

For those of you who definitely decide to be part of the course and its process, we will upon receiving your APPLICATION, send a form, which helps you think about your important life-events: LIST of LIFE-EVENTS. This LIST is preparatory, and will later form the observational basis for the rectification work. It is really important that you give close attention to this list. Many people are working with astrological charts which are quite inaccurate. Rectification is necessary if we are to apply some of the more important techniques of astrological timing.

One does not have to be a professional astrologer, or to have studied this subject for years to enjoy this astrological group experience and profit from it. Necessarily, some group members will fall into this category, but no matter how much we know about astrology, there is always more to learn about esoteric astrology. The eagerness to learn, and to enter in the great Science of Relations is the main requirement.

Some may worry a little about being overwhelmed with the volume of knowledge which esoteric astrology seems to require, but we will make sure that experiential learning (through music, ceremony, and experimental group process) balances the academic side of our search. The many energies and forces, and their interweaving can be understood and utilized. To do so is a thrilling adventure, to which we invite you.

We will make every effort to keep your expenses down during your attendance in the course. We will try to find inexpensive or possibly free places for you to stay, and the cost for the delicious catered food will be shared and will, hence, be quite economical.
